Hindu Temple and Cultural Center invites you to join the Hindu Temple Youth Group. This group will promote Hindu religion amongst the children. A youth committee will be formed that will provide opportunity to youth group to organize and participate in upcoming Religious events like Diwali and Holi.

Why Hindu Temple Youth Group?

Since most of us are the first/second generation Hindus in America, we young Hindus generally lack knowledge about Hinduism. Even though Hinduism is our way of life, we still don't understand most of our traditions and customs and we feel a need to question it.

By joining the youth group for the temple, you will

a)      Find out more about Hindu religion,
b)      Find out more about Hindu culture and customs,
c)      Meet new friends and develop lasting friendships, and
d)      Have fun in a variety of ways

The parents should volunteer their time to the youth group to:
a)      Make Hindu religion and culture relevant to the youth's life in the USA, and
b)      Provide opportunities to Hindu youth to develop leadership skills, learn organizational skills, to show their talent and to become role models for other youth.

In order to be a member of Hindu Temple Youth Group you:

a)      Must have your parents be a current member of HTCC
b)      Must be interested in promoting Hindu religion and culture
c)      Be between 9 and 18 years old (kids younger than 9 years must be accompanied by a parent for any activity of the youth group)

First meeting of the Hindu Temple Youth Group held at HTCC Temple, Bothell on Sunday, September 17,2006 @ 11:30 AM

Please Note:
Kids/Young adults older than 18 years are encouraged to join the youth group as advisors. Parents are encouraged to join as volunteers.
